Winemaking

About the Vineyard

Nestled within the historic Lisdillon Estate at Little Swanport on Tasmania's stunning East Coast, Lisdillon Vineyard is a boutique cool-climate vineyard producing premium wines that reflect the unique character of the region. Established in 2009, the vineyard spans approximately 1.5 hectares and is planted primarily with Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc, varieties well suited to the area's maritime climate and long, cool growing season.

Surrounded by rolling farmland, native bushland, and spectacular coastal landscapes, the vineyard benefits from the moderating influence of the nearby ocean, creating ideal conditions for producing elegant, expressive wines. The first Pinot Noir vintage was released in 2013 and has since helped establish Lisdillon's reputation for quality small-batch winemaking.

The vineyard forms part of the wider Lisdillon Estate, a property rich in Tasmanian history dating back to the 1830s. Once a thriving settlement with its own school, church, store, and post office, the estate today combines its agricultural heritage with boutique accommodation, offering visitors the opportunity to experience the beauty and tranquillity of Tasmania's East Coast.

Lisdillon Vineyard remains a small-scale producer focused on crafting wines that showcase the distinctive terroir of Little Swanport, where fertile soils, coastal influences, and careful vineyard management come together to create wines of character and authenticity.
