Bream Creek is one of Tasmania's true pioneers, planted in 1974 on the state's East Coast when the local wine industry barely existed. Fred Peacock, one of Tasmania's most respected viticulturists, took over the property in 1990 and expanded the Pinot Noir plantings while introducing Sauvignon Blanc and Schönburger, among the first commercial plantings of that rare German variety in the Southern Hemisphere. Overlooking Marion Bay, where Abel Tasman first landed in 1642, Bream Creek's vines include some of the oldest Riesling in the state, and the winery has picked up 18 trophies and hundreds of show medals along the way.

Bream Creek Sauvignon Blanc 2025 opens with lifted aromas of citrus blossom, gooseberry and subtle passionfruit. The palate is crisp and vibrant, echoing the nose with an added thread of saline minerality and a touch of lemon curd. High acidity drives precision and energy, while the sleek texture and chalky edge lead to a long, refreshing finish with notes of lime. An unusual blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Shiraz, Bream Creek's Pinot Rosé is a wine of real intensity. Beautiful clear pink in the glass, with incredibly vibrant aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries, red apples, and watermelon. Those fruits carry through to the palate, joined by subtle rosewater and cranberry. More character than your average rosé and all the better for it.
