Moores Hill
Moores Hill sits on a north-east facing hillside near Exeter in the Tamar Valley, first planted in 1997 on a ridge that makes it one of the coolest sites on the West Tamar. In 2017 it became Tasmania's first fully solar-powered winery, a genuine point of difference in an industry not always known for sustainability credentials. Current owners James and Constance bring serious Burgundian and Australian pedigree between them, James with a Bachelor of Viticulture and Oenology and stints in Geelong, Mornington, Oregon and Burgundy, Constance a Dijon-trained oenologist. Together they make Pinot Noir, Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Gris with a clear focus on cool climate elegance.

The Moores Hill Blanc de Blancs is a beautifully crafted single vineyard Tasmanian sparkling wine, combining youthful, vibrant fruit with the complexity of extended bottle aging. Concentrated citrus and mineral aromas are complemented by sweet notes of brioche and praline, adding depth and richness to the bouquet.
On the palate, the wine is dry and mid-weight, offering generous flavours balanced by a tangy acidity that leads to a long, silky, and toasty finish.

Moores Hill sits quietly in the Tamar Valley, making wines that reward those who find them. This 2024 captures the vibrant essence of red and black fruits, layered with subtle spice and earthy notes from a warm season's vintage. Dark fruit flavours and savoury hints on the palate, beautifully balanced by fine-grained tannins. Approachable and thoughtfully crafted this is a wine you'll come back to. Pair with roast chicken, pork belly, or charcuterie. Drink now through 2028.
Moores Hill's Riesling is a wine of quiet charm. Citrus blossom, passionfruit, and lime on the nose, with lemon, lime, and a touch of green mango on the palate. A small amount of residual sugar adds a lovely roundness that balances the cool climate acidity beautifully, leading to a clean, long finish. Approachable now, but with the structure to develop further. Pair with Thai cuisine, fresh seafood, or soft cheeses. Drink now through 2030.
