The WildState Range
House of Arras is the reason Tasmanian sparkling wine has the reputation it does today. English-born winemaker Ed Carr recognised the island's potential back in 1988, when the entire state had less than 50 hectares under vine, and founded Arras in 1995. Now sourcing fruit from seven regions across Tasmania, Ed's obsessive approach to blending and extended lees ageing, some cuvées spend years longer on lees than is typical, has made Arras Australia's most awarded sparkling wine label, and earned Ed a Lifetime Achievement Award as the only non-Champagne winemaker ever honoured by the Champagne and Sparkling Wine Championships.
How to shop
Stick to One Corner of the Island
Every region in Tasmania grows something a little differently. Building a bundle around one region, say the Tamar Valley or the East Coast, is a way to really get to know a place, its soil, its climate, its particular way of making Pinot Noir or Riesling. It's less about variety and more about depth.
Get to Know a Variety Properly
Tasmania makes more than one style of Pinot Noir, more than one style of Riesling. Building a bundle around a single variety lets you taste how region, producer and approach can change the same grape into something completely different from bottle to bottle.
Follow One Winemaker's Range
Behind every label is a person making decisions, about the vineyard, the vintage, the style they're going for. Building a bundle around a single producer is a way to taste those decisions side by side and get a real sense of what makes their wine theirs.

The A by Arras NV Premium Cuvée is a sparkling wine of exceptional finesse, showcasing the artistry of Tasmania’s cool-climate winemaking.
Medium straw in colour with a bright gold hue, it offers a crystal-clear appearance with fine, persistent bubbles. On the palate, indulge in opulent flavours reminiscent of lychee, butter sautéed mushroom, natural yoghurt, and fresh oyster, creating a unique and luxurious tasting experience.
The harmonious balance of rich flavours and elegant texture makes this Cuvée the perfect choice for special occasions or refined pairings.
