Gamay
Gamay is having a moment right around the world, and Tasmania's cool climate is turning out to be one of the best places to grow it. Light and vibrant, with wild strawberry and redcurrant flavours and a freshness that holds up whether you serve it chilled or at room temperature, this is a wine made for actual drinking rather than sitting on a shelf.

Bremley Gamay 2024 is a vibrant red wine from Tasmania featuring bright ruby colour and lifted aromas of raspberry, wild strawberry, violet, and soft spice. The palate delivers juicy, energetic red cherry and sour berry fruit, balanced by lively acidity and fine, gentle tannins. Subtle savoury and mineral notes add complexity, while a clean, refreshing finish showcases excellent drinkability. Lightly chilled, this Gamay is perfect for everyday enjoyment or pairing with light meals.
Gamay is having a moment in Tasmania and Sinapius's Esme Rouge is a fine example of why. Fresh wild strawberry and redcurrants on the nose, with soft tannins and a hint of spice. Medium bodied and smooth, with bright acidity that makes it equally enjoyable at room temperature or lightly chilled. A wine for those who like their reds a little lighter and a lot more fun. Pair with charcuterie, roast chicken, or mushroom dishes. Drink now through 2027.
The Rada is Stargazer's most adventurous release. A blend of Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir, and Gamay that defies easy categorisation. Earthy, spiced, and full of character, it's the kind of wine that sparks conversation. Unique, unexpected, and genuinely exciting from one of Tasmania's most thoughtful producers. Pair with charcuterie, duck, or anything with a bit of spice. Drink now through 2028.
Looking for more than a 1 one off bottle?
Can't choose between multiple favourites?
Or looking to broaden your horizons?
Every glass, a different Tasmania
Cool nights, mineral soils, and a climate winemakers elsewhere would kill for. It's why Tasmanian wine tastes the way it does, and why one variety here can taste nothing like the same variety made anywhere else.
Made in small batches, on purpose
These aren't wines built for supermarket shelves. Most come from producers making a few hundred cases a year, which means what's in stock now might not be again.
Pick a style, not just a label
Whatever you're drawn to, there's a Tasmanian producer doing it well. Explore the range and find the version that's yours.
