Josef Chromy's Sauvignon Blanc is one of the more complex expressions of the variety in Tasmania. Intense citrus, kiwi fruit, gooseberry, and fresh cut grass on the nose, with herbal notes of fennel, dill, and crunchy celery adding a distinctive layer of freshness. Josef Chromy's Chardonnay is a wine of elegance, purity, and freshness. Nuts, oak spice, flint, and a bright bouquet of citrus and stone fruit on the nose. The Pepik is Josef Chromy's approachable, everyday Chardonnay and it's a very good one. Freshly cut pear, Granny Smith apple, lemon zest, and juicy mandarin on the nose, with a mineral undertone of crushed pebbles, chalk, and candle wax. The palate is lively and fresh, with citrus and stone fruit balanced by clean, mineral-driven acidity. Long, savoury finish with excellent length. Named after Josef Chromy's childhood nickname, the Pepik is the approachable, everyday side of one of Tasmania's great estates. Cherry red with raspberry highlights, the nose is fresh and lifted with sweet berry fruits, red mulberry, and a hint of spice. The palate is bright and juicy with red cherries, raspberries, and delicate tannins that make it effortlessly drinkable. A wine that doesn't take itself too seriously, and is better for it. Josef Chromy's Pinot Gris is one of the most aromatic and complex expressions of the variety in Tasmania. Honeydew melon, blushed peach skin, exotic lychee, and warming ginger spice on the nose. The palate is rich and textured with an mouthfeel of red apple, honeydew melon, lychee, and juicy persimmon, beautifully balanced by refreshing acidity. A wine of real depth and character.
