Home Hill Landslide Pinot Noir 2025 captures the essence of our Tasmanian vineyard with deep complexity and elegance. Dark ruby in colour, it opens with aromas of dark chocolate, dark cherries, damson plums, and liquorice.

On the palate, bright acidity meets seductive berry flavours. The wine is juicy and rich with sweet fruit and spice notes, framed by gentle, soft tannins that lead to a long, silky finish. Eight months on oak has refined the structure without compromising its approachable character.

This is a wine built for both immediate enjoyment and considered cellaring. Drink now or lay down for up to seven years as it continues to evolve.

Aroma

Dark ruby in colour, this Pinot Noir opens with aromas of dark chocolate, dark cherries, damson plums and liquorice.

Palette

Bright acidity runs through the middle palate alongside seductive berry flavours. Juicy and generous, it shows rich, sweet fruit and spice, with gentle, soft tannins leading to a long, layered, silky finish. Eight months on oak adds polish without overpowering the fruit. Easy drinking now, this elegant wine will also cellar for up to seven years.

Pairings

The soft tannins and juicy red fruit make this Pinot Noir wonderfully versatile at the table. Roast duck or slow-cooked pork belly bring out the dark cherry and spice, while mushroom risotto or a wild mushroom pasta echoes its earthy depth. Charcuterie and a board of soft cheeses, such as brie or camembert, also suit it well, as does grilled salmon or tuna for something light.

Wine Making

The wine was aged for 9 months in French oak barrels, with 2% new oak, to subtly enhance its structure without overwhelming the fruit. This careful oak integration allows the wine to retain its elegant profile and balance, while ensuring the soft tannins and savoury finish are beautifully framed.

Meet the owners

Home Hill began as a hobby for Terry and Rosemary Bennett, who planted their first vines on an old apple orchard in the Huon Valley back in 1991. What started with a handful of hectares of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and the rare Sylvaner grape grew into one of Australia's most decorated small wineries, taking out the prestigious Jimmy Watson Trophy in 2015 for their Kelly's Reserve Pinot Noir. Now a genuine family affair with son Sean alongside Terry in the vineyard, Home Hill remains grounded in the same quiet, unhurried patch of Tasmania's coolest wine region.

Huon Valley

About the region

Deep in Tasmania's south, the Huon Valley is one of the island's most dramatic wine regions, steep hillsides, ancient apple orchards, and a cool, wet climate that really pushes grapes to their limits. That challenge is exactly what gives the wines their intensity and character. Pinot Noir thrives here, producing wines with dark fruit, earthy complexity and a structure built for the cellar. A region for anyone after something genuinely different.
