Frogmore Creek's Iced Riesling is something genuinely special made from grapes harvested and frozen to concentrate their natural sugars, producing a wine of extraordinary sweetness and freshness. Raw honey and lily of the valley on the nose, with crisp green pear and lychee on the palate, all balanced by a lively acidity that keeps it from ever feeling heavy. A dessert wine that earns its place at the end of any meal. Pair with fresh fruit, crème brûlée, or blue cheese. Drink now through 2032.

Raw honey aromas floral tones of Lili of the Valley. Sweet with fresh acidity. Green pear and lychees flavours.

Winemaking

Variety: 100% Riesling, sustainably grown
Region: Coal River Valley, South Tasmania
Yield: 12 tonnes per hectare (4.8 tonnes per acre)

Pressed and settled in tank, racked clear juice and stored in tanks at zero degrees. Then the juice is hard frozen to separate juice and ice. The juice is concentrated to 17.5 Baume, then fermented in tank. The fermentation is stopped when the sugar level is around 200 to 220 gr/L.
