Fivebob's Pinot Gris is a wine of real sophistication from the Huon Valley. Bright and clear with light copper hues, the nose is lifted and exotic with ripe nashi pear, freshly cut feijoas, ripe kumquats, and jasmine blossom. The palate is savoury and textured, with green pear skins, pithy acidity, ripe melons, fresh orchard fruits, ginger stem, and a hint of Turkish delight on the finish. Crunchy, unctuous, and genuinely complex. Pair with Thai cuisine, fresh crayfish, or aged soft cheese. Drink now through 2029.

Huon Valley
The Huon Valley is Tasmania’s southernmost wine region, and by extension, the southernmost wine region in all of Australia.
Following the winding path of the Huon River from Lake Pedder to the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, this region offers a unique cool-climate growing environment. The north-facing vineyards are sheltered from the cold southerly winds, benefiting instead from a maritime-influenced climate.
The gentle warmth of summer allows for a slow, extended ripening season, resulting in high-quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and sparkling wines.
This extended growing period enhances the complexity and finesse of the wines produced here, making the Huon Valley an ideal region for crafting elegant, cool-climate varieties.
