The Bellebonne Bis NV Rosé is an exquisite celebration of floral and fruit beauty, capturing Tasmania’s strength and elegance in every bottle.

Aromas of strawberry, Turkish delight, and rose petal create a fragrant and inviting bouquet, while the palate is refined and long, offering delicate textures of fresh cream, brioche, and gentle fruit. The name ‘Bis’ is derived from the French word for "the space in-between," representing the inspiration behind this non-vintage rosé’s creation.

About the Vineyard

Bellebonne is Natalie Fryar’s passion project. She spent 14 years at Jansz, establishing herself as one of Australia’s top sparkling makers while gaining an intimate knowledge of Tasmania’s premium sites. She crafts her elegant and sublime Bellebonne cuvées in minuscule quantities from pockets of grower vines in Pipers River. To finance her first solo vintage, she sold a house, worked waitressing shifts and drove her cleaner’s Ford Festiva to Tassie with her red Kelpie on the front seat. In Jan 2023, Natalie found a permanent home for Bellebonne at Evenfall Wines in Legana, near Launceston, with whom she shares a cellar door. Evenfall wines are made down south at Tas Vintners, so Natalie has full run of the winemaking facilities, which she cohabits with husband and Wellington & Wolf winemaker Hugh McCullough.

Tamar Valley

The Tamar Valley is Tasmania’s oldest wine region, located in Northern Tasmania and stretching from Launceston to the Bass Strait.

This region is renowned for its cool maritime climate and iron-rich soils, which provide ideal growing conditions for producing premium wines.

Home to over 30 family-owned wineries, the Tamar Valley accounts for more than a third of Tasmania’s total wine production. The region has a long history of viticulture, with its first commercial vineyard established in the mid-1800s at Windermere, and its cuttings even contributing to the early vineyards in South Australia.

Today, the Tamar Valley is celebrated for its Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and sparkling wines, all of which reflect the region’s exceptional terroir and winemaking heritage.
