Atom Chardonnay 2024

With bright notes of stone fruits and citrus blossom, this wine also boasts a lovely minerality and a crisp, fresh acidity. Aged for 11 months in premium French oak, 30% of which was new, enhancing its complexity, length and adding a layer of depth, this Chardonnay is ready to drink now and will also age gracefully.

We are wine producers who source premium fruit from across Tasmania to craft our signature blends. Our fruit comes from several regions, including a small patch on the East Coast, the Coal Valley, and the Cradle Coast. All fruit is pressed at Ghost Rock Vineyard, located in the Cradle Coast region.

There’s something about Tasmania that just draws you in, I’m incredibly lucky to have spent all my childhood and into my early twenties growing up on a mixed farming operation in Tasmania’s Southern Midlands. The memories I have from those days are endless which is why I’ve probably ended up amongst the vines and playing in wine. I don’t have a definitive moment what made me take the plunge like some, I wasn’t born into the world of wine, but I clearly remember buying my first bottle of quality Cabernet Sauvignon from down at the Margaret River wine region and it had me wanting to taste and explore more.

Fast forward quite a few years later and Atom Wines was born. Working in some of Tasmanian's best vineyards, and helping growers grow premium fruit, gives me access to great opportunities to create great wine by working side by side with industry legends.

Atom is all about new beginnings, we all know a story or someone that has been affected by this global pandemic that has changed the way we live. Atom is about surrounding yourself with good people, getting up and going again.

So, it’s just me and my wife Rach, who are passionate about wine, and who want to bring that passion to you in a glass.
