Home Hill's Huon Valley estate produces Pinot Noir with real ambition, and this 2023 delivers on it. Deep dark ruby in the glass, with sweet red cherry, blackberries, and boysenberries on the nose, underpinned by earthy forest floor. The palate is richly concentrated with chocolate, almond and vanilla layered over uplifting sweet fruit with fine chalky tannins and a long, elegant finish. Built to age gracefully for up to 15 years, but already showing beautifully. Pair with beef short rib or duck confit. Drink now through 2038.

Huon Valley
The Huon Valley is Tasmania’s southernmost wine region, and by extension, the southernmost wine region in all of Australia.
Following the winding path of the Huon River from Lake Pedder to the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, this region offers a unique cool-climate growing environment. The north-facing vineyards are sheltered from the cold southerly winds, benefiting instead from a maritime-influenced climate.
The gentle warmth of summer allows for a slow, extended ripening season, resulting in high-quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and sparkling wines.
This extended growing period enhances the complexity and finesse of the wines produced here, making the Huon Valley an ideal region for crafting elegant, cool-climate varieties.
