Meet the owners
Milton has been in the Dunbabin family since 1980, a property that traces its farming roots back to 1826 on the sunny Freycinet Coast. Michael and Kerry Dunbabin spent years growing wool, carrots, poppies and grain before deciding a vineyard would sit more gently on the land, planting their first vines in the early 1990s. The family still runs 3500 Merino sheep alongside the vines, now tended by the next generation, and produces small quantities of handmade Pinot Noir, Syrah, Tempranillo and aromatic whites from one of the sunniest, driest corners of the state.

East Coast
About the region
Stretching from St Helens in the north to Bream Creek in the south, Tasmania's East Coast is as breathtaking as it is bountiful. A milder climate than the rest of the state, spectacular coastal scenery, and over 300 hectares under vine make this one of Tasmania's most exciting wine regions. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the stars, but the East Coast also turns out outstanding Riesling, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc, wines with a freshness and purity that's genuinely hard to find anywhere else.
