Orange blossom, melon, and pineapple, with notes of musk, passionfruit, and banana peel emerging on first impression.

Gentle and refined, with a fine line of acid carrying through to a long, astringent yet fresh finish. A more subtle, textural expression than a typical Sauvignon Blanc. Built for those who appreciate nuance over overt fruit intensity.

Meet the owners

Stefano Lubiana is one of the most significant names in Tasmanian wine. Fifth-generation winemaker Steve Lubiana and his wife Monique planted their Granton vineyard on the Derwent River in 1990, drawn by Tasmania's potential for serious sparkling wine. In 2013 the property became Tasmania's first certified biodynamic vineyard, and it remains one of very few in the state today. Now with son Marco carrying the family tradition into a sixth generation, Stefano Lubiana produces Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and traditional method sparkling of real depth, wines that have picked up Best Biodynamic Wine in the World honours on multiple occasions.

Derwent Valley

About the region

The Derwent Valley follows the river north from Hobart through some of Tasmania's most beautiful farming country. It's a region of contrasts, warm days, cold nights, and a long growing season that builds flavour slowly and deliberately. Home to some of Tasmania's most thoughtful producers, the Derwent Valley is known for Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Riesling of real elegance and precision.
