This is a powerful and complex wine, reflective of its Reserve status. The rich palate features intense dark cherry and berry flavours, matched by fine tannins and bright acidity and finishing with superb length and intensity.

Suits duck, lamb, or aged hard cheese — dishes with enough richness to meet the wine's depth and structure.

Wine Making

This is a complex and powerful wine, befitting of its Reserve status. It is selected from a rigorous barrel selection process, and less than 10% of our total Pinot Noir production is considered to be of such quality as to qualify.

Meet the owners

Bream Creek is one of Tasmania's true pioneers, planted in 1974 on the state's East Coast when the local wine industry barely existed. Fred Peacock, one of Tasmania's most respected viticulturists, took over the property in 1990 and expanded the Pinot Noir plantings while introducing Sauvignon Blanc and Schönburger, among the first commercial plantings of that rare German variety in the Southern Hemisphere. Overlooking Marion Bay, where Abel Tasman first landed in 1642, Bream Creek's vines include some of the oldest Riesling in the state, and the winery has picked up 18 trophies and hundreds of show medals along the way.

About the region

Stretching from St Helens in the north to Bream Creek in the south, Tasmania's East Coast is as breathtaking as it is bountiful. A milder climate than the rest of the state, spectacular coastal scenery, and over 300 hectares under vine make this one of Tasmania's most exciting wine regions. Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are the stars, but the East Coast also turns out outstanding Riesling, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc, wines with a freshness and purity that's genuinely hard to find anywhere else.
