Atom Pinot Noir 2024
(0)
$40.00
Atom comes from Tasmania's wild West Coast a region that doesn't get nearly enough attention, and this Pinot is a compelling argument for why it should. Fresh and aromatic, with red cherry, berry fruit, floral notes, and a smooth, velvety texture. The mid-palate reveals savoury and spicy layers, violet, cinnamon, and slate with silky tannins providing elegant structure. Medium-bodied with excellent concentration. Drink now or cellar confidently through 2030. Pair with duck, salmon, or mushroom dishes.

Aroma
Aromas of red cherry, raspberry, strawberry, violet, earthy forest floor, and subtle spice with a refined savoury finish.
Palette
Aromatic & fresh, this medium-bodied Pinot Noir is bursting with floral and fruit-forward notes, think red cherries and juicy berries. The mid-palate brings in some savory and spicy layers, all wrapped in a smooth, velvety texture with touches of violet, cinnamon, and a hint of slate. Fine-grained silky tannins give it just the right amount of structure, concentration, and weight, setting it up nicely to age well through to 2030. Aged a in French for 11 months, 25% of which was new, an elegant and well-balanced wine.
Pairings
Pair with duck, roast chicken, pork, mushroom dishes, and soft cheeses, with its vibrant red fruit, delicate tannins, and savoury complexity complementing both rich and refined flavours.
Wine Making
We are wine producers who source premium fruit from across Tasmania to craft our signature blends. Our fruit comes from several regions, including a small patch on the East Coast, the Coal Valley, and the Cradle Coast. All fruit is pressed at Ghost Rock Vineyard, located in the Cradle Coast region.
Meet the owners
Atom is a small family label from Rich and Rach, who describe themselves as the nucleus with friends and family as the electrons, a fitting metaphor for a wine born out of connection. Rich grew up on a mixed farming property in Tasmania's Southern Midlands, and though he came to wine later in life, working alongside some of the state's best growers gave him the access and knowledge to make something genuinely his own. Sourced from the North West Coast and Tamar Valley, Atom's Pinot Noir leans into red cherry and blueberry with a warm spice edge.

West Coast
About the region
Wild wilderness, ancient rainforests, rugged mountains and windswept coasts, this is Tasmania's West Coast. It's the smallest and newest wine region on the island, home to just a handful of producers making cool climate wines of genuine character. Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling and Pinot Gris are the varieties that thrive here, shaped by one of the most dramatic landscapes on earth.
