Josef Chromy Pepik Chardonnay 2023

The Pepik is Josef Chromy's approachable, everyday Chardonnay and it's a very good one. Freshly cut pear, Granny Smith apple, lemon zest, and juicy mandarin on the nose, with a mineral undertone of crushed pebbles, chalk, and candle wax. The palate is lively and fresh, with citrus and stone fruit balanced by clean, mineral-driven acidity. Long, savoury finish with excellent length. Pair with fresh seafood, light pasta, or soft cheeses. Drink now through 2028.

Relbia
Relbia is a small but growing wine region located just south of Launceston in northern Tasmania.
While close to the Tamar Valley, Relbia is part of a unique sub-region that benefits from its proximity to the North Esk River and the region's rich soils.
Known for its cool-climate conditions, Relbia produces high-quality Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, and Sauvignon Blanc. The long growing season here allows for slow, even ripening, resulting in wines with vibrant acidity, intense fruit flavours, and elegant structure.
This emerging wine region has gained attention for its boutique vineyards, which are producing exceptional sparkling and still wines, often praised for their purity and crispness. Though small, Relbia is carving out a name for itself as one of Tasmania’s up-and-coming wine regions.
